Collection & Local Delivery

At Newbard Farm, all of our pork is produced on a small scale using traditional organic farming methods. We raise a maximum of 200 pigs per year, allowing us to focus on animal welfare, quality, and sustainability rather than large-scale production.

Our pork & lamb supplies our own hot food and hog roast business, local markets, and a small number of local customers and food businesses within approximately 100km of the farm. Because of this, we currently offer:

  • Collection at the farm

  • Collection at selected farmers markets and events

  • Limited local supply only

We believe strongly in local food systems and supporting small family farms. Rather than shipping meat long distances across the country, we encourage customers to support farmers in their own local area where possible.

If you are outside our region, we recommend seeking out a similar small-scale farmer near you. Supporting local producers helps strengthen rural communities, reduces food miles, and keeps traditional farming alive.

Through our involvement with Talamh Beo, we also mentor and support other small farmers because we believe Ireland needs more local food producers, not fewer. Building resilient local food networks is at the heart of what we do.

FIND A FARMER NEAR ME

We believe Ireland needs more small farmers, more local food systems, and shorter supply chains. This map highlights some of the farms and producers around Ireland helping to build resilient local food networks. If you are outside our area, we encourage you to support a farmer near you. If you know of a farm please let us know so we can list it here!!
